Well as of the late I have been working on a 1967 Pontiac Catalina 4door 400ci Pontiac and a turbo 400 tranny,..... she a awesome old car.... it looks something like this <--------------But ours is red!

As soon as i get a card reader or cable for my cam, i will get some pics up here of our progress.

HER FIRST HOTROD

My wonderful girl had dreamed of a late 60"s muscle car since her first car, Well we got the chance to put away 1500.00 for her new toy!

We looked and looked all over...no avail. The falcon was nice but....strait 6, Not much of a hot rod. could be but I would have to convince her I could tear it all apart and with the help of a 5.0 donor?
we passed on the falcon, she would rather have the fullsize, that's right boy's... she actually want more power and a bigger frame to feel "safe" in

So we looked more and more drove around here and there. Found a nice big block early Galaxy 500 with a big block, fair body and a big block, but again the ford thing? whats with that?
we passed in the end because "3 on the tree"

We also seen a wide cross section of smog boats 73's to 78's but nothing really jumped out at here
by now we surf craigslist.com about 90 times a day. witch is fairly addictive when you got money in hand so to say.

almost bought a 48 kaiser, but no motor... that dint bother me? I wonder why I bothered her? humm.... may be I'll never know

The weeks peeled of the calender and summer was in full swing, and she is well past ready to have that "hotrod". but I have a flawless record at picking good cars, I just know.

The as we were heading to haggle with the owner of the Galaxy, we found "it". 4 blocks from the house. There it was, I knew it...this would be the one!

long story.... but In the end we found a nearly perfect 1967 Pontiac Catalina 4door 400ci Pontiac and a turbo 400 tranny, Not mint but way way awesome for a 1st muscle car, far better than my 1st few old cars....... It just rolled 99,950 when we got it, the owner was a body man and painter, The old Pontiac was his 1st car, he got when he was 14 from his mothers friend.

we got lots of recites and parts most all the car was original, red on black. The interior was like butter, but the motor was in need of tune up and carb re build, which I we both did, yes sir my girl turns wrench's too.

after some serious clean, it had not be legal on the road in more than 10 years! I mange to freshen up the plugs wires and such and we also rebuilt the carb, and got her legal, just in time for a few weeks of summer driving!...

needless to say...she learned a lot about these old cars in the last 5 weeks of summer 2007.
as winter came the poncho went to slumber winter away, while we take the down time to
really go at the under hood.....

stay tuned....... cuz we are!
